How to delete your account and personal data
Learn how to permanently delete your Oze account, either from the app or by email, and what happens after your request.
You can request the deletion of your Oze account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do this: directly from the app, or by email. This page explains both methods and what happens next.
Option 1: Delete your account from the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the Oze Business App:
- Open the Oze Business App
- Go to Settings
- Tap More actions
- Select Delete your Oze account
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the deletion
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, you can also send your request by email to:
Suggested subject line: Account deletion request
To help us process your request quickly and securely, please include in your message:
- The phone number associated with your Oze account
- Your business name as it appears in the app
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
To protect your data, we may contact you to verify your identity before proceeding with the deletion.
Before you delete your account
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Before confirming your request, we recommend that you:
- Download or export any documents you may need (invoices, receipts, reports)
- Check that you have no ongoing processes in the app, such as a loan application
Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all your data: recorded transactions, invoices, customers, inventory, and history.
What happens after your request
- If you delete your account from the app, your request is processed immediately. If you request deletion by email, we will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and verify your identity.
- Your account and personal data will be deleted within a maximum of 30 days.
- You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
Data retained after deletion
Some data may be retained after your account is deleted, only where we are legally required to do so or for legitimate purposes, including:
- Data related to financial transactions, which we must retain for the period required by applicable regulations (including anti-money laundering requirements)
- Data needed to resolve an ongoing dispute or to exercise our legal rights
This data is stored securely, is no longer used for any other purpose, and is deleted once the legal retention period expires.
Deleting your data without deleting your account
If you only want to correct or delete certain information (for example, updating your contact details) without closing your account, contact us at support@getoze.com. Our team will be happy to assist you with your request.
